Optimise Whatever is the eighth edition of The Wrong Biennale, taking place worldwide from 1 November 2027 to 31 March 2028.

Making TW8 possible
After thirteen years and seven editions, TW8 puts The Wrong’s international reach and experience behind a clear ambition: giving more back to the artists and curators who make it possible.
That means stronger support for selected Pavilions, dedicated promotion and greater international visibility. And, for the first time, recognition and financial grants through The Wrong Awards.
TW8 will be crowdfunded, with a €50,000 target and no minimum funding threshold. The amount raised will determine how much support the programme and Awards can offer.

What is a Pavilion
A Pavilion is an independently curated digital exhibition created by an artist, curator, collective, university, gallery, institution or cultural organisation.
Pavilions can be Individual, presenting the work of one artist, or Group, bringing together at least two artists.
Selected Pavilions are developed independently, supported by the TW8 identity, communication network and curatorial framework.
Participate
Propose a Pavilion. Support The Wrong Awards. Become a Patron. Tell your friends and peers about it. Upgrade your karma.
Every proposal follows the same independent curatorial process, based on originality, artistic excellence, curatorial vision, relevance to contemporary digital culture and the potential to create meaningful connections.
Waiver
A limited number of Waivers are available to applicants for whom choosing a campaign reward represents a significant financial barrier.
Waivers provide access to exactly the same submission and selection process as any other proposal. Requests remain confidential and completely separate from curatorial decisions.
The Wrong Awards
Every selected Pavilion is automatically eligible for The Wrong Awards. There is no separate application.
The Wrong Awards Jury will recognise exceptional artistic and curatorial work through financial grants, dedicated international promotion and greater visibility across The Wrong’s network.
A personal note
I started The Wrong in 2013 imagining a biennial for digital art that worked like the internet: connected, spread across places and full of things you weren’t looking for.
Thirteen years and seven editions later, it feels like the right moment to take a new risk and find ways for The Wrong to give more back to the people who make it possible.
