The Wrong Biennale brings together artists, curators, institutions and public via a grand exhibition of exhibitions, organised and hosted, online and offline, by self-appointed curators, exhibiting selected artworks in desentralised pavilions and embassies.

The 7th edition, taking place from November 1st, 2025, to March 31st, 2026, is dedicated to artistically exploring the transformative potential of AI-influenced art, video, text and sound created by artists.

We invite artists, curators and institutions to organise exhibitions that dive into the creative possibilities or challenges of artificial intelligence, showcasing how the interaction with machine learning and algorithms may shape the future of digital art.

Join us in celebrating AI as a catalyst for radical innovation, inclusion, and new paths for artistic expression.

Pavilion.

What is a Pavilion?
An online exhibition hosted by an artist, curator, collective or institution, showcasing work by 10 or more artists.

Embassy.

What is an Embassy?
A physical event, gathering or exhibition, anywhere in the world, related to a pavilion, featuring artwork by 10 or more artists.

All works submitted for the 7th edition of The Wrong Biennale may incorporate artificial intelligence at any stage of its creation process, whether as inspiration, as text, as a complementary tool or as an integral part of the work's development.

We welcome a wide range of formats, including image, video, interactive media, sound, text, and immersive experiences, either AI plays any role or not, in the creation process.

Is it about AI? Yes.
Can you fully avoid AI as an artistic statement? Yes too.

Artist.

To participate as an artist, submit your work to open calls organised by a self-appointed curators.

You can also organize your own pavilion or embassy, become the curator of your exhibition, organise your open call (optional), and invite your favourite artists to join you.

Note: Dear artists, please do not send your artwork to The Wrong, as we do not review individual works, only pavilion and embassy proposals.

Curator.

Create your pavilion or embassy and feature your favorite artists. Create a concept and title for your exhibition project, host it online.

Choose a title that represents your curatorship poetically. Please do not use for your title the words “AI”, “Wrong”, “Biennale”, or any related terms in your pavilion/ embassy's title name.

Feel free to make an open call to receive proposals by artists. Send the link to your open call info if you want us to promote it. Select and display the artworks in a respectful manner.

Make sure to be in accordance with guidelines, and have all your artists to formally agree with you to show the works.

Deadlines.

Send an email and let us know your intention to join, your name and how you want to join, either as a pavilion or embassy, also include a initial idea of your project. We will get back to you via email to open a conversation.

March 1st ~ September 15th, 2o25
Submit your pavilion / embassy. Please confirm title, name of curator, domain link, location, and full list of artists. We will get back to you via email to confirm all details of your participation.

November 1st, 2o25
Official opening of the 7th edition of The Wrong Biennale, featuring all selected pavilions and embassies.

Submit.

Submit your pavilion / embassy with your title, curator's name, description, domain link, aproximate location of curator and confirmed artists. Include a curation statement and short bios of all participants. All submissions are reviewed for quality and conformity.

Download and include The Wrong Biennale logo in your pavilion / embassy, open call and related media activity, with link to https://thewrong.org

Guidelines.

Embrace atemporal beauty, joy and creativity to enhance the positive side of humanity. Avoid art expressions about hate, conflict, controversy, current news or violence. Clearly mark any adult-only content.

Pavilions must be online from November 1st, 2o25 until March 31st, 2o26. Embassies must launch / happen in between these same dates.

The Wrong is an art biennale, not an art fair or NFT marketplace. Pavilions with crypto wallet requests, pay-per-view or any other intrusive practices won't be accepted. The Wrong appreciates pre-algorithm internet and one-click-away free access to the exhibitions.

Participation is voluntary, open to everyone and free. There are no fees for registrations or submissions.

As a selected curator, you are free to raise funds to organise your pavilion / embassy via donations, grants, institutional support and sponsors. If you raise funds, we recommend to support your artists fairly.

Guidelines may be regularly updated for organizational improvement.
