Photosynthesis.

In the format of a digital photo album that goes back to the blogs of the beginning of the Internet, this collaborative visual essay proposes the observation of the subtleties and variations of a phenomenon essential for the existence of photographic images, light. The flowing energy of digital images travels through paths that are often occult behind the surfaces of luminous screens. Based on a poetic understanding of the biological process of photosynthesis, in which the Sun's luminous energy is transformed into vital energy, this pavilion raises a question: what does sunlight consist of, captured as an image, synthesized in digits and re-presented through artificial light?

Curated by João Vrc and Nicole Kouts. Featuring Bárbara Martignago, Dimitrius Mimicos, Gabriel Pessoto, Kayssa Mavrides, Lana Martires, Malu Kazi, Natacha Lamounier, Sofia Pechlivanis Ziouva, Sophia Novaes, Vitória Mello.
