A virtual town where each institution—a hospital, school, police station, or skate park—hosts a single artwork, turning architecture into both metaphor and stage. The project draws on the “archaic smile” of ancient Greek sculpture, seen as the opposite of the uncanny valley: seeking resonance over replication. In this spirit, it explores how AI in art can generate synthetic gestures that, though artificial, strike profound human chords.
