The structures once deemed stable in the 20th century now falter, leading to unfamiliar landscapes, identities, and forms of expression. Urban and national spaces arise from tensions between authoritarian and libertarian forces. Hybrid bodies blend biological with electronic elements, and fiction generates new identities beyond power’s old boundaries. Porous limits with the extraterrestrial and aesthetics embracing non-human species reflect this shift. Yet, these configurations quickly disintegrate—like Pedro Páramo, the modern subject collapses on impact, leaving only fragments.
